India Introduces Fast Track Immigration Program for Trusted Travelers

People who traveled to India last winter recall the dreadful congestion at:

  • New Delhi
  • Mumbai
  • Chennai
  • Bengaluru airports

These have insufficient staffing and an influx of inbound and outbound passengers threw the system out of sync. It is during peak hours of daily arrival and departure. Indian metro airports were so overcrowded that social media users compared them to:

  • Kumbh Mela
  • Kolkata’s fish markets
  • Old Delhi’s hawker markets.

Concerns about unaccompanied elderly parents being subjected to lengthy immigration delays upon arrival had thrown NRIs into a tizzy. NRI found difficulties and somehow needed some kind of overall smooth traveling tip. Finally, India launched the Fast Track Immigration Trusted Traveler Program (FTI-TTP).

The aim is to avoid a repeat of India’s terrible airport congestion this summer. The government launched a technology-driven immigration clearance process for:

  • Pre-verified Indian nationals
  • OCI cardholders.

It is similar to the Global Entry program in the USA. India’s Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveler Program allows low-risk travelers to:

  • Skip immigration lines
  • Enjoy a seamless travel experience

To enhance their overall traveling experience, they can book cheap flights to India from US at Tripbeam.us with convenient offers.

India’s newly launched trusted traveler program

Initially, only low-risk Indian nationals and holders of OCI cards were eligible for expedited immigration clearance via FTI-TTP. The second phase of the program will include:

  • Foreign Nationals
  • Indian-origin foreign citizens who do not have OCI cards.

This is unlike the United States’ Global Entry, India’s Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveler Program applies to both international departures and arrivals. Remarkably, India will provide an accelerated immigration facility free of charge. FTI-TTP does not charge any fees.

Indian airports will offer Fast Track Immigration

FTI-TTP is India’s first trusted traveler program. It was launched at Indira Gandhi International Airport. In the first phase, the faster immigration clearance facility will be implemented at airports in:

  • Mumbai
  • Ahmedabad
  • Bengaluru
  • Kolkata
  • Hyderabad
  • Chennai
  • Kochi.

The second phase will expand the program to 21 airports across the country. India’s first trusted traveler program is the best option for Air travelers. They should book cheap flights to Delhi from USA at Tripbeam.us to unlock the affordable, and best traveling and flight deals.
